I want so badly to like runny scrambled eggs and omelets... but I will NEVER understand how anyone likes eggs that spectacularly under-cooked. I know it's the "right" way to do it, but if you're beating eggs they should be COOKED. "Dog drool"????? Neither the name, the texture, nor the presentation are in any way appetizing.

I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU DID NOT THESE THINGS: hard boiled eggs soft boiled eggs and finally my fav recipe of all eggs: baking an egg I'm not crazy, it tastes delicious recipe: u crack 1 or more eggs into a bowl(i do two) add seasoning(salt, pepper, Italian seasoning) bake until the top is completely cooked and has like little crusts on the edges poke through the surface and see if the yolk is still runny by the white is completely done. voila

I sile my scrambled eggs with pieces off egg white. I crack it, let it sit for a bit juuust so I get the right amount of egg whites and then I scramble like crazy and that's so yummy to me because I love the different textures.

I have the luxury of fresh eggs from my lovely girls, so when i poach an egg I use an egg that's been laid that day (tbh i don't chill my eggs so they stay good for poaching for a lot longer). I just crack it into a mug, and gently add it to well salted rapidly boiling water until the white is firm and the yoke is still soft. I also NEVER use cold eggs, every time I've used a cold egg it's not worked.

So I know this sounds super weird, but if you're having trouble cooking the egg white without overcooking the yolk, gently blowtorch the white when you think the yolk is done.

I have to disagree with her on the poached eggs. I'd personally say yes to vinegar and no to a vortex. Adding a splash of vinegar is the only method I trust of preventing the egg white from splaying out and breaking up in the water, which is something I find a vortex just exacerbates. And if your egg comes out tasting vinegary, you've added way too much. You only need a very small amount for it to work, and if you drain and dry the egg properly, it shouldn't take on the flavour at all

First of all I see you cannot be bothered to answer the comments? I like eggs which are just cooked or soft yolks. I never cook anything without a little Salt and Pepper. Yes to Vinegar and Vortex, I like the slight Vinegar taste that is why I add it? I normally fry eggs when making fried egg sandwiches? Just cooked Scrambled eggs are magic I cook mine in the Microwave as I hate cleaning the sauce Pan afterwards. Omelettes I will put anything in. You call yourself a cook yet it took you 4 attempts to cook a Poached egg? You need more practice. When I was in the Army one chef would par cook about 40 poached eggs then put them into iced water then as ordered he added the required amount into a frying pan of boiling water, This reheated them and finished off the cooking without splitting the egg?

I have cooked eggs every way except for poached and I have to try that out also. Thanks for sharing the tip on how to crack an egg on a flat surface rather than on the corner of a skillet or other surface. That is one habit I have gotten into over the years and know that I need to stop that and have been trying to stop it. Thanks so much for these tips and I hope you all have a Blessed week next week.

Fair enough, however if restaurant would serve burned eggs that’s already health risk for the consumer. Therefor professional way of cooking it wouldn’t be what’s shown in the video. It is a preference but not a restaurant worthy recipe

looove eggs! but i do my scramble a different way, I actually break the egg directly into the pan at low heat, I make sure the white cooks first when that is done I break the yolk and mix it a little bit and get off the heat. I do this because I love to the colour contrast of whites and the yolk

I use milk in my scrambled eggs and my omelet...and... I've never had them come out tough. You sorta... have to just cook it differently and watch it. I also do not like runny scramble, so it helps with that. YUCK.

You can make fried eggs without the oil if you just put a little water in the pan and put the lid on it, this way the eggwhite will also cook because of the steam.

I make a ‘fake poached egg’ in a pan with a nonstick pan every morning - usually on half a bagel with uncooked baby spinach and tomatoes. You lightly grease the pan (if it’s not nonstick), grab a paper towel, rub the oil around the pan (coating it completely) and drop an egg in there (with a lid over it so it steams). You cook it on medium low heat for two minutes, salt and pepper it, and flip it. You then turn it to very low heat for 3 more minutes (flipping every minute), so this way it cooks with whites and yolk evenly (the yolk will taste like a hard boiled egg). Take it out and ta daa! A soft, not crunchy, healthy fake poached egg :)
